FAQ's

Where can i purchase General Sleep garments?

The full General Sleep range is available on our website and we have a selection of stockists internationally and in New Zealand - stockist details can be found on our stockists page.

Where are General Sleep garments produced?

Our sleepwear is handmade in India with locally sourced organic fabric from the same region.  Our bed socks are proudly produced in New Zealand.

How should I care for my sleepwear?

At General Sleep, our garments are made using nothing but premium quality, GOTS certified fabrics.  We work exclusively with natural fibres, such as cotton, linen and silk.

Our garments are made from hand-woven fabrics, produced by artisan weavers in Southern India. Our seasonal colourways are made from 100% organic cotton that is grown, spun, and woven, in the same region.

To best care for your General Sleep garments, we recommend a gentle/delicate cold machine wash or a hand-wash in cold water, with a gentle soap. No matter how you wash them, we recommend a line dry.  All General Sleep garments are designed to be lived in, and loved, and will continue to soften with time.

For style specific care instructions, please read the care label sewn into the seam of your garment.

Any imperfections such as slubs or differences in texture are to be expected – and celebrated – as part of your garment’s character.

Do you have a size guide?

Our international size guide can be found on our Size Guide page.   A style specific sizing guide is available on each product page.
If you aren’t sure about fit or sizing you are welcome to email us at hello@generalsleepstore.com for advice.
Our model wears a size S in all online imagery.

If your order is a gift, we will happily include a note for the lucky recipient - there is the option to select this at checkout.
All orders are wrapped in tissue and we won’t include the invoice or packing slip with the order.

Do you offer gift cards?

Please note: You will receive one gift card to the total value of your order. Online gift certificates are unable to be physically mailed to the recipient.
